It’s hard to believe that Cowgirl Christmas began 22 years ago in Morretti Canyon, San Luis Obispo. Our very first event was nestled in Templeton at the Sales Ring at The Livestock Auction. Brooke, Kimber, Kiki, and Sue set up their wares, inviting family and friends to shop. Little did we know, it would become an annual tradition!

After the inaugural year, Bret and Kimber moved the event to the Baggett Ranch in SLO, using the iconic Red Barn. This barn witnessed our wedding reception and hosted countless birthday parties for our kids. We cherished nine years at the old Dairy Barn until our event outgrew the space, prompting a move to the Edna Valley Portuguese Hall for two years.

Eventually, we settled at The Alex Madonna Expo Center, behind the renowned Madonna Inn. With 10,000 square feet, we thought we had ample space—until we sold out in our second year! By our third year, it was clear we needed more parking, leading us to move once again.

Amidst these transitions, our family relocated our cattle operation from California to East Texas. However, our Christmas event remained a cherished tradition, uniting us with loved ones on the Central Coast each year.

In 2017, we found our home at the Paso Robles Event Center, boasting ample room for over 150 local vendors, artisans, and small businesses. Thousands of shoppers grace us with their presence, supporting our vendors and relishing in the festive atmosphere.

Cowgirl Christmas has evolved into a Country Christmas Boutique—a gateway to unique gifts and holiday cheer. The Black Family travels from Weatherford, Texas, every year to celebrate Thanksgiving with family and host this grand shopping event for our friends countywide.

To all our patrons who’ve supported our vendors over the past twenty-two years, we extend our heartfelt appreciation. We eagerly await seeing you year after year at The Paso Robles Event Center for what we fondly call “The Biggest Little Fair Anywhere.”
